Appointment of a safety adviser
You are required by law to appoint a safety adviser whose duties include the following:
advising management on regulations and procedures required to comply with applicable national and international legislation.
verifying that regulations governing the transport of hazardous materials are known and followed by company personnel.
proposing preventive measures to protect persons, property and the environment during the transport of dangerous goods.
analysing any accidents or incidents and formulating proposals to prevent their recurrence.
drawing up an annual report.
