Safety data sheet/sds
Article 31 and Annex II of the REACH Regulation ((EC) No 1907/2006 and (EU) 2020/878) determine when a safety data sheet (SDS) is required for a hazardous substance or mixture and which information must be included.
Under certain requirements, some non-hazardous mixtures also require a SDS.
In principle, articles do not require a safety data sheet, but sometimes there is a demand for it. Therefore BIG has designed the PSIS (Product Safety Information Sheet) which can be used to communicate information about the article throughout the value chain.
BIG prepares SDSs in accordance with the European Regulation.
BIG provides SDSs for the following countries, taking into account the national legislation and the country-specific languages:
EU countries
Switzerland, Norway and Iceland
Turkey
USA/Canada
Australia/New Zealand
New-Caledonia
China, Korea, Taïwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, India
Brazil, Mexico, Chili, Columbia
English GHS
Arabic GHS
For other non-EU countries, the GHS SDS is drafted in the language of the country or the EU CLP SDS is translated.
