Big vzw for emergency services
During an incident, it is important to be able to identify a substance quickly and correctly, so as to assess the hazards and risks and to know how to deal with them. BIG offers information both in the form of a book as well as a digital database for smartphone, tablet or desktop.
BIG vzw has an extensive and unique database on hazardous substances, which is expanded and kept up-to-date on a daily basis. Furthermore, BIG is always available as an emergency centre. Our team can answer calls in Dutch, English, French and German. For any other language an interpreter can be called in.
Products
BIG publishes extracts from the database in electronic form, as a book or integrated in software applications. BIG also offers the possibility to integrate data from the database in own management systems.
Books
Every year in June, BIG publishes 2 books: First Responder Book on Hazardous Substances and Workplace Instruction Cards for chemical agents.
The books provide clear and concise information on most common hazardous substances for either intervention or prevention.
